Overview
Welcome to Last-11 2004/2005. Forty-nine Blues sent in predictions (before the Barcelona match) for our last eleven games of the season. For each of those matches the players used their best judgement to predict whether Chelsea will Win Draw or Lose against each team. This year is slightly different in that Barcelona was the 1st game of the series. This required a few tweaks on my end because overall scoring is only for the Premiership. Let me know if you find anything amiss and I'll take a look.
Standings
bafred remains at the top of the table after correctly predicting the slaughter of Manure. With only one incorrect prediction so far, only Jimbo and Daniel Rose have a chance of catching him - provided Chelsea draw at Newcastle. Don't forget you can click on the Prediction Grid and Points Grid links for more info on your opponents!
Scoring
Correctly predicting a Win: 6 points
Correctly predicting a Draw: 10 points
Correctly predicting a Loss: 12 points
Definitions
Points: Player has scored this many points to date
CP: Number of correct predictions
PPG: Points Per Game predicted for all this player's 11 matches (doesn't change)
FP: Final Points this player estimates Chelsea will finish on
GF: Final Goals-For at the end of the season
GA: Final Goals-Against at the end of the season
GD: Predicted final Chelsea Goal Difference
Bold Is Good
Numbers in bold mean Good Things! For Points, this'll denote who is leading the competition. For PPG this denotes players whose predicted Points Per Game is the same or close to Chelsea's actual Points Per Game. For Final Points, this refers to League games and shows who came closest to the right number. For the other stats (GF, GA, GD) these will be bold when the player's predicted value matches Chelsea's current value. For example, if you predicted our goal difference will be 34 and Chelsea's actual goal difference is 34, that figure will appear in bold.
Sorting
You'll notice that the Standings are not sorted alphabetically, so there's no advantage for any aardvarks (Afrikaans for 'earth pig') and no disadvantage for any Zebadee's (wasn't that the name of the character from Magic Roundabout?). The earlier you sent in your predictions, the higher up in the table you are. The competition is decided primarily by who finishes with the highest Points. If more than one player has the same Points, the PPG (Points Per Game) predicted will be compared to Chelsea's actual PPG. In the unlikely event that things are still all-square, the FP (Final Points) predicted and then GD (Goal Difference) will become the deciding factors.
